Nelle is One! - First Birthday Session

It has been my pleasure to capture sweet baby Nelle from bump to baby to big girl! She is a real joy to photograph! For her First Birthday session, we explored her family’s beautiful backyard, which also happens to be the location of her mom’s maternity photos exactly one year prior. On the day of the maternity session, the property was covered with purple wildflowers, which we incorporated into the session, so of course, we had to do the same for the first birthday.

In addition to the flowers, we also did a cake smash, featuring the pearls of Nelle’s great-great-grandmother, her namesake, and also a strawberry milk bath! It’s strawberry season, and felt so appropriate for this little country girl.

Happy 1st Birthday to this lil’ strawberry shortcake!

Evelyn Isabel - Newborn Session

I love returning to my clients homes when they welcome more children. I first met the M Family when they became parents two years ago, now they have two precious daughters with the addition of sweet Evelyn. I instantly fell in love with her adorable hair and perfect, little face. Big sissy Hadley wasn’t feeling pictures at first, but soon warmed up and frequently nuzzled her baby doll of a sister throughout her session. These two are going to share such an incredible bond.

Welcome to the world, sweet Evelyn!

Natalia Joan - Newborn Session

I love putting elements of nature into my styled sessions, and when the baby is born during Spring, there are so many gorgeous stems to choose from! Natalia’s mommy requested purple, so a few fresh lilacs did the trick. Purple also happens to be the favorite color of Big Sis. After this sweetheart got into a deep sleep, we switched her over to some coral with a contrasting bow to get a different look.

Welcome to the world, darling Natalia!

Elliana is One! - First Birthday Session

It was a joy to work with Elliana and her mommy for her first birthday session! I loved the daisy theme they carried out, as well as the milk bath! Milk baths are a super fun way to photograph a baby for their first birthday. A small amount of milk combined with lukewarm water creates a dreamy, opaque background to really highlight baby’s features. It also gives us a chance to add some fun, little floatable props like flowers, leaves, or pinecones to the mix. Lastly, it bounces light onto baby’s face to get some really angelic shots, which was easy to accomplish with this one as Ellie was all smiles!

Happy 1st Birthday, Sweetheart!

Walker is One! - First Birthday Session

Walker is almost ONE!

This darling boy is my first outdoor session of 2023! It feels so good to be outside again, and the night of Walker’s session brought spring-like temps and warm, golden sunlight. The winter was long and slow for me this year, but sessions are finally booking up as the days grow longer. Photographing Walker and his mama was a great way to kick things off. For this session, they opted for all neutral colors, and rustic overalls, as his first birthday party is a farm themed “Holy Cow! Walker’s One!”. So fun!

I hope you have the best birthday party, Sweetheart! It was a pleasure meeting you!

Nixon Thomas - Newborn Session

Baby Nixon was the perfect bundle of joy to start off my year of newborns! Weighing in at nearly 10 lbs, and sporting such a perfect head of hair, he was an absolute sweetheart. After a few family shots, Nixon got cozy and warm, and slept for the remainder of his session like an angel. It was my pleasure to capture another sweet baby boy for the K Family!

William is One! - First Birthday Session

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing William over the past year, as his family purchased the First Year Special package, which includes 3 sessions (newborn, baby, and first birthday) for the price of 2! Being that he’s a winter birthday, we captured his session in the comfort and warmth of his own home. We also included some family pictures, as my sessions are always customizable to whatever the client would like!

Thank you for allowing me to share in your first year, sweet William! Happy Birthday!

Christmas Minis 2022

Nelle is Six Months! - Baby Session

This little peanut is celebrating her half birthday just in time for Christmas! Her mommy and daddy wanted to include the holiday in her session, since the milestone coincides with the most wonderful time of the year. It was a cold and gloomy day, and our original plan to shoot at the Cranberry Schoolhouse wasn’t quite as appealing, so we ducked inside to take a few tummy pictures around the Christmas tree at the municipal center. We still got our outdoor pictures, but Baby Nelle was much more comfortable inside, and the festive background worked out perfectly!

Miles - Newborn Mini Session

When I got the request to photograph Baby Miles, I jumped at the chance even though I had just come off of a month of Holiday Mini Session madness! Newborn Sessions can be crazy as well, but a welcomed challenge, because when baby finally settles in and gives you those shots - there is no better feeling! As you can see, Miles did not disappoint. He was an angel, and once he found his comfy spot and had a little extra feeding, he gave me all the looks.

Lexi is One! - First Birthday Session

Little Miss Lexi was positively glowing for her First Birthday Session in Cranberry Woods. This sweet fashionista started the session with some family shots, and then changed into her flower crown for a few on her own. Although she was feeling most comfortable in Mommy’s arms, we still got some great smiley shots. What is more beautiful than a child loving on their parents? That smile certainly says it all.

The F Family - Family Session

I am the lucky aunt, godmother, and personal photographer of this little man; my nephew Leo! He is the absolute sweetest little squish! It was my pleasure to photograph his family for their first family Christmas card! I don’t know how they’re going to pick favorites - he is absolutely adorable in every shot…and this is only a few of them!

Fall Minis 2022

We could not have had a nicer day for Fall Minis at Cranberry Woods. The sun was shining, and the personalities were too! Thank you to the families who booked!

Evan - Senior Portrait Session

Ninety percent of the photography I do is babies and families with young children, but every now and again, I have the pleasure of photographing a high school senior. It is always a treat, as these kids are ending one chapter of their lives, and about to embark on, arguably, the most exciting chapter of college and young adulthood.

I met Evan in Adams Twp. Park, a park that is familiar to his family, as it has been the site of family gatherings throughout the years. We started out with a natural setting during golden hour, then up to the historic schoolhouse, and finally, the high school campus. Evan runs track, so we were sure to get some shots on the track where his mom suggested the awesome shot of lanes 2 & 3 making up a ‘23! Such a great idea! And then it hit me…I graduated high school 20 years ago. Haha!

I wish Evan the best of luck in his future at Edinboro and beyond! He plans to major in biology to eventually pursue a career in Physical Therapy. In the brief amount of time I spent with him, I can tell he has the maturity and strong support system necessary to be a success!

The B Family/Ariana is Six Months! - Family and Baby Milestone Session

I have been photographing this beautiful family since they started their journey as parents over three years ago. I was thrilled when they contacted me to say…Surprise! We now have a baby girl! Ariana is simply adorable, and it was so fun to photograph her in her gorgeous outfit, complete with the sweetest rolls! The B Family requested that we do a family session, and also focus more on Ariana to mark her six month milestone. I was happy to oblige them, as a family portrait session can be whatever the client wants. If you’d like to focus in on a certain family member, or have more candid shots versus more posed…just ask!

Sawyer Jay - Newborn Session

After two months in the NICU, sweet baby Sawyer is home where he belongs. There is no doubt he’ll be receiving a lot of loving from his family, including his two proud big sisters! For his session, we started in the family room, and then moved to his nursery, which features a gorgeous accent wall built by his daddy. The love in this family is positively overflowing, and I am so happy for them that they are now complete!

The D Family - Extended Family Mini Session

Grandparents are one part parent, one part teacher, and one part best friend.

I know this is true of my own children’s grandparents, and I’m certain that’s the case with The D Family, as well. When the whole family has an opportunity to get together, it is always so special. Their grandmother brought along a family heirloom, a quilt made by her own mother, for the session. The quilt, along with some lollipops, served as a perfect prop. Aren’t grandparents known for bringing comfort and sweets to everything they do!?

Atticus is One! - First Birthday Session

The Force is strong with this ONE.

I adore a good theme, and bonus points if Mommy and Daddy bring props! Atticus’ parents are big fans of Star Wars, as are their little guys, so bringing along some of their favorite toys was an easy way to enhance the photos, as well as keep Atticus engaged. In addition to this, his SUPER TALENTED mom made these costumes especially for the session. The most amazing part? They’re no-sew! She fashioned these masterpieces using only hot glue. Amazing!

Happy 1st Birthday, Atticus!

William is Six Months! - Baby Session

This Christmas Baby is halfway to ONE! William was so sweet for his at-home session. It was a sweltering July day, and he was happiest in his diaper! This man’s cute little tootsies definitely stole the show, as he enjoyed laying on his back in the perfect “happy baby” position. What an absolute joy he is!

The G Family - Family Mini Session

The G Family looked beautiful for their family mini session under the shady trees. I love the summery colors they chose to wear! I always start a session with a few posed family shots, and then follow the children’s lead to get more natural looking captures. Noelle had fun picking flowers, and little man Cam enjoyed running and exploring the forest. He was very busy, but I got him to look at me with a few irresistible peek-a-boos. Sweet boy couldn’t help but crack a smile.
