Baby Knox stole my heart during his in-home newborn session, especially when he put on that lion mane and was serving some ‘tude! There is something about a little grumpy baby face that is sooo sweet. In all seriousness, though, he was a little angel for his session. Such a pleasant, little guy. Looking all around, taking in his new home. I am so happy for his proud parents!
Siddh - Newborn Photography
Siddh (and big brother Aadi) were so sweet for their session in their beautiful home. For these types of sessions, I like to capture some candid shots in black and white, as I always feel they truly show the details of the newborn days the best. Siddh (pronounced like Crosby) was alert and pleasant, giving his parents smiles, and just taking it all in. What a cutie!
Lindsay & Nick - Franklin Park Maternity Photography
These stunning parents-to-be braved the elements to capture some beautiful maternity images in the snow. Mama's bump-hugging gown looked so elegant on her. She then changed into a more casual outfit perfect for the snowy scenery. The white on white really made her gorgeous red hair pop against the background.
I'm looking forward to meeting their baby girl next month!
Margaret Elizabeth - Wexford Newborn Photography
I've had "Maggie May" stuck in my head for days now while editing these pictures, and I've been smiling to myself at the line; "Wake up, Maggie..." because this little Miss Maggie wouldn't go to sleep! This sweet girl had other plans for her photo shoot, and who's to blame her for wanting to show off her stunningly gorgeous blue eyes!
Taking these pictures at Maggie's home was a lot of fun. Not only did I get to reconnect with her mama (a friend from high school), but I got to use the backdrop of her perfectly decorated home! Newborn sessions done in the home are more candid and less styled than those done in my home studio, but that can make for some precious, unplanned moments that will be treasured forever.
